If this is not applicable for whatever reason,
the employee should contact the local Staff Department for assistance.

Employees, suppliers, or other business partners can report a suspected violation against the Code of conduct anonymously through
Akelius’ system for whistleblowing at https://app.incy.io/akeliuswb/links/report

or request a meeting to submit a whistleblower report.

Only the Chairman of the Board and the Akelius Foundations' Council Chairperson have access to the whistleblowing system and the other channels.

The company protects the anonymity of anyone who reports suspected misconduct in good faith.
Please note that Akelius can only guarantee anonymity for whistle blowers who use Akelius’ system for whistle blowing.

False allegations or misuse of the whistle blowing channel procedure is a violation against this code.

both policies and training courses include real life examples of breaches against the Code of conduct and anti-corruption policies.

Akelius applies no tolerance policy.

internal audit

The internal audit function reports to the Board.
The Board annually proposes a risk-based plan that the internal audit team should implement to ensure that they focus on the right areas.

Akelius handbook

The Akelius handbook governs operations and highlights the company’s commitment to honorability.
It is regularly updated and approved by the Board.

Code of conduct and anti-corruption are reinforced in the handbook.

The handbook is part of onboarding and updates are presented in the internal company newsletter.

staff training

New employees join the company’s onboarding program, Welcome to Akelius.
Participants learn about the company’s history, culture, values, principles, and strategy.

Code of conduct and anti-corruption are at the start of the learning path,
reinforcing their importance.

All staff must complete mandatory annual training on anti-corruption and bribery and the company’s Code of conduct.

The courses are offered online.
Staff get reminders through the learning management system during a certain period.
If still not completed, the reminder is escalated to the staff’s respective manager.
